Technologies - past to present to future

A form of technology that is very prevalent in my day to day life would have to be my laptop. In the past, computers used to be as big and as heavy as a person. Now my laptop is as light as a notebook. In the past, computers were a luxury, but now they are a common necessity to day to day life. My laptop has many different uses, that used to not even be thought of being able to do all on one machine. My laptop has the internet, Microsoft word, a calculator, a Photo Booth, music, calendars, Siri, maps, reminders, the list goes on and on. In the past, people needed planners, hand held calculators, a printed out map to then figure out the directions to get somewhere using signs, and a typewriter to type and essay. Compared to present day, I believe in the future, laptops will be able to do almost EVERYTHING. I think they will be able to write my essays for me, and put projects together in the click of a button. However, I think laptops and the technology in them are still a little far away from being able to do those things, so for now I will just write my essays and projects myself. :)
